Parks and Recreation

Aquatics Division

The Aquatics Division provides a safe environment for the community to enjoy our City pools and help introduce water safety concepts, encouraging a healthy recreational habit that your entire family can enjoy. Each swimming facility offers the public a chance to get active and escape the summer heat at the City’s large park pool, neighborhood walk-to pool. Swimming lessons, Water Aerobics, and Lap Swimming are also offered.
The Aquatics Division maintains and staffs the Edinburg Municipal Water Park, a three-pool facility featuring a 125-foot long figure eight slide. Other amenities include a sand-pit volleyball court, a tanning area, barbecue grills, picnic tables, and water basketball.
The Municipal Water Park operates six-months of the year.
Fountain Swimming Pool is a kidney shaped swimming pool containing bathing facilities, a 70-foot water slide, a sand-pit volleyball court, a barbecue grill, and a picnic area.
