COSTUME CONTEST RULES

Please remember this is a family-friendly event and contestants must be properly attired

The costume contest will have two categories; Adults (16 and up) and Children (0 – 15)

No political or religious statements, please.

No real weapons are allowed.

Use of liquids or messy substances is not allowed.

All judging will be done at the time of the event

Registration must be made no later than 30 minutes before the costume contest begins. Registration can be done online before the event HERE or at the information booth during the event.

A contestant number will be assigned; number must be worn on the costume.

Each contestant will be introduced individually by the emcee using information on the registration form. Upon introduction, the constant will walk forward and engage the audience and judges, then return to the line-up. After the last contestant, the entire line of contestants will walk back on the stage for last looks.

Contestants will be scored on originality, creativity, artistry, use of costume materials, stage presence, and other aspects. Costumes based on humanlike characters will be disqualified. Example: Yoda qualifies, Obi-Wan Kenobi disqualified.
