The City of Edinburg and The Dusting Michael Sekula Memorial Library invite the public to participate in the upcoming Veterans Day Parade. This annual event will take place on  Saturday, November 10th at 10:00 a.m.

The Parade is open to anyone interested in participating free of charge. All applicants must complete a simple entry form of participation. Detailed information is required as it is used to announce the entries in the lineup. For more details and to download the entry form visit the Library website www.edinburglibrary.us or stop by the Library and pick up a form from Lucy Robinson.  Entry forms are due by Wednesday, October 31st.

Most Patriotic Float Competition – only those individuals using a pick-up truck bed, farm wagon, flatbed truck or trailer may enter the Float Competition.  Vehicles smaller than a pick-up truck bed do not qualify to enter the competition.  Judging will be based on Overall Appearance of float and trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

All political entries will be charged $250.00 please make checks payable to the Edinburg Arts Foundation. Political entries will be placed at the end of the parade to ensure the focus is on our support and gratitude to the service given by our Veterans to our country.

The parade will commence at Richard R. Flores Stadium on 1800 S. Stadium Dr. and Palm Dr. to end on McIntyre St. and 10th Street. If you would like to take part in the parade contact Lucy Robinson at 956-383-6246 or stop by the library located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd. Edinburg, Texas.
