Study and Meeting Rooms


STUDY ROOMS

The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library provides a total of 4 study rooms to enable individuals or small groups of 4 to meet or have a quiet space to work during regular library hours.

Policy and Guidelines for use: 

  1. Access to a study room requires a valid I.D. (driver’s license and/or state I.D.); by signing this form you accept responsibility for maintaining and leaving the room in its original condition.
  2. A study room may be used for a MAXIMUM of 2 hours daily. Study rooms are available on a “first come –first served” basis.  Additional time will be granted only for circumstances warranting such an extension (testing, studying) and must be pre-approved by the reference librarian on duty.  Reservations will not be taken. Any patron, who leaves room unattended for more than 10 minutes, will forfeit use of study room.
  3. Occupancy limits: 4 persons per room.
  4. Students between the ages of 14-18 may present a school ID.  Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
  5. Food, all tobacco and alcohol products are prohibited.
  6. Persons found eating, littering, engaging in loud or disruptive behavior, defacing library property or otherwise acting inappropriately will be removed from the study room and the library.
  7. Occupants are responsible for their belongings. 
  8. All contraband or illegal activities are prohibited.
  9. Library study rooms may not be used to distribute or sell goods or services of any kind.
  10. The study rooms are not intended to be the regular meeting site of any group or organization.
  11. No signs, fliers or banners may be attached to any library wall, ceiling or property.
  12. Dry erase markers and erasers may be borrowed but must be returned at the end of the session. (If you use the board, please erase any information before you leave.)
  13. Rooms must be vacated 15 minutes prior to library closing.
  14. Failure to follow these rules may result in loss of library privileges and/or criminal prosecution or other action.

MEETING ROOM AND TECH ROOM

Policy and Guidelines for use:

The Friends of the Library Meeting Room and Tech Room in the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library is available for use by community groups for informational, educational or cultural meetings and programs when not needed for Library purposes.  For more details on how to reserve the meeting room please contact Natalie Barajas at (956) 383-6246 or natalie@edinburglibrary.us .
