City Council Proclaims April 8-14 as National Library Week in Edinburg

EDINBURG, TEXAS (April 4, 2018) – The Edinburg City Council proclaimed the week of April 8-14 as National Library Week in Edinburg.

During National Library Week residents are encouraged to visit and explore their local library.

Libraries have long served as trusted and treasured institutions, and library workers and librarians fuel efforts to better their communities, campuses and schools.

In Edinburg, the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library empowers the community through a variety of services and programs and is a vital center that provides essential educational resources, engaging programming, vibrant artistic events, and cultural experiences that enrich the lives of our diverse community.

The City of Edinburg joins libraries, librarians, library workers, and supporters across the country in celebrating National Library Week.
