Edinburg Municipal Court Announces Amnesty Program
EDINBURG, TEXAS (Aug. 1, 2018) – The City of Edinburg Municipal Court announced a two-week amnesty program that will allow people with outstanding fines to pay up without being arrested. Beginning Monday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 17 the City will waive all Class “C” arrest warrants and dismiss the failure to appear charge for people who show up in person.
Anyone with an outstanding ticket is encouraged to make a full payment or make arrangements with the court to pay the fine through an installment method. Payments and arrangements can only be made in person at the Edinburg Municipal Court located at 1702 S. Closner Blvd.
The court is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The court will also be open on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A warrant roundup will be conducted by the court at the end of the two-week amnesty program for those who ignore the summons.
