South Texas International Film Festival Announces 2018 Schedule
EDINBURG, TEXAS (Aug. 23, 2018) – The South Texas International Film Festival (STXIFF) has announced the schedule for its fourth annual festival.
The STXIFF will span over four days and three different locations throughout Edinburg. The festival will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex with a special screening of student films from 12-2 p.m. on the main stage.
The student film screening will be followed by short film screenings and feature films from 2-6 p.m., and the opening night regional short films from 6-9 p.m. The opening reception for the festival will take place from 5-6.
On Thursday, Sept. 6 the festival will hold screenings from 2-6 p.m. at the UTRGV Performing Arts Center followed by a special screenings of regional feature films, Destino and Tejano at the Cinemark Movie Bistro from 6-9 p.m. Tickets for the feature films at the Bistro are available EventBrite.com.
Events for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7-8 will be held at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. Friday’s screenings will begin at 2 p.m. and will run through 10 p.m. Saturday screenings will begin at 10 a.m. and will end with the awards ceremony from 6-9 p.m.
