EDINBURG, TEXAS (Sept. 28, 2018) – Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina and the Edinburg City Council presented a $1 million check to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine.
This is the third consecutive year the City has donated $1 million to the School of Medicine dating back to 2016.

“It’s important for us, as a City, to continue to support the UTRGV School of Medicine,” Molina said. “Investing in the medical school, is investing in our community.”
Dr. John Krause, dean of the UTRGV School of Medicine, accepted the check on behalf of the university.
“On behalf of UTRGV, and on behalf of the School of Medicine, I thank you mayor and councilmen and all of you at the City of Edinburg for your vision and your consistent support,” Krause said. “We look forward to many years of working with you.”
