Edinburg Fire Marshal's Office Awarded 2018 Achievement of Excellence Bronze Level Award
EDINBURG, TEXAS (Oct. 18, 2018) – The Edinburg Fire Marshal’s Office was awarded the 2018 Achievement of Excellence Bronze Level Award by the Texas Fire Marshal’s Association.
The Fire Department received the award at the TXFMA Awards Banquet in Austin.
Edinburg Fire Chief Shawn Snider said, “It’s a tremendous honor for your peers to recognize the tremendous achievements that you’ve worked toward in serving the community.”
The Achievement of Excellence Award in Fire Prevention Award recognizes organizations’ performance. In order to be eligible for the award, an organization must tally at least 125 points of eight scoring categories.
“This identifies and recognizes the excellence in which our fire department and fire marshal’s office is being led,” Snider said. “I would like to recognize my fire marshals and inspectors for their continuous dedication to the department and to the community.”
The Edinburg Fire Marshal’s Office is comprised of Fire Marshal Omar Garza, Assistant Fire Marshal Sergio Diaz, Lt. Ruben Lopez, Lt. Gabriel Espinoza, Lt. Ramiro Rodriguez, Lt. Jaime Hernandez and Administrative Assistant Karina Lozano.
“This is the result of a great team effort,” Snider concluded. “I have a great team.”
