Christmas Tree Recycling Pick Up in Edinburg Scheduled for Jan. 7-25
EDINBURG, TEXAS (Dec. 27, 2018) – The City of Edinburg encourages all residents to recycle their Christmas trees instead of throwing them out. Beginning Jan. 7, 2019, the Department of Solid Waste Management will collect trees through Jan. 25.
Edinburg residents are asked to place their Christmas trees next to the curb for collection. Trees must be free of decorations, tinsel, flocking and stands. Flocked trees should be placed with regular brush for collection.
Residents who wish to drop off their Christmas tree can do so at the locations that follow:
- City of Edinburg Recycling and Educational Center, 3102 S. Business 281
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- City of Edinburg-Edinburg Regional Landfill, 8601 N. Jasman Road
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- City of Edinburg Service Center, 1201 N. Doolittle Road
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Cardboard boxes, wrapping paper and Christmas cards can also be recycled by dropping them off at the Edinburg Recycling Center. For more information on what items can be recycled residents can call 956-381-5635.
