Mayor Molina Featured as Guest Speaker at Women's Council of Realtors McAllen Network
At the meeting, Molina addressed the realtors highlighting Edinburg’s current and future growth.
The City had a record year in 2017 with construction permits and $271 million in construction activity.
“Most of the growth is happening in the area of multi-family developments or apartments,” Molina said. “This past year, 900 new apartment units were either constructed or are currently under construction.”
Additionally, there were 469 single-family homes built, as well as, an increase in commercial construction.
“More people are moving to Edinburg,” he said. “We anticipate a demand for more apartment units, retail, entertainment, and food establishments as more people come to Edinburg in search of a better life.”
Molina also highlighted the endless possibilities for growth in the City and invited the realtors to join Edinburg in the future growth.
He concluded, “We know that you too can contribute and benefit from the exciting growth and opportunities we’re seeing. So if you’re looking to be successful remember, we’re always open for business.”
