Edinburg Housing Authority Swears In Three New Commissioners
Edinburg, Texas (Dec. 13, 2017) – Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina swore in three new Edinburg Housing Authority commissioners at a special ceremony Wednesday morning at the Ciro Trevino Administration Building.
Molina welcomed and thanked the newly appointed commissioners, Dr. Martin Castillo, Gabriel Salinas and Marissa Chavana, who took the oath of office today.
“I know there are a lot of good people who live here – people with big hearts, who want to give back, but don’t have the means,” Molina said. “It’s our job to be a part of the process of getting them from here to a better place, and not having them here permanently.”
The Edinburg Housing Authority supports low income families by providing affordable housing and promoting self-sufficiency. The government assisted agency has been helping Edinburg families since 1949.
