Edinburg City Council Appoints New Temporary Municipal Court Judge

GI9A2316Edinburg, Texas ­­(Dec. 8, 2017) — The Edinburg City Council swore-in a new temporary Municipal Judge on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017.

Agustin Hernandez Jr., an attorney with the Hernandez Law Group along with Rogelio Solis, who was appointed in 2015 will fill in when Municipal Judge Terry Palacios is unavailable to act.

The positions were created by the Council through an approved amendment to the City Code of Ordinances in 2015. The amendment calls for the appointment of one or more temporary judge.

Hernandez is a graduate of the University of Texas, School of Law and has been licensed since 2006.

He is a lifetime resident of Edinburg and a 1997 graduate of Edinburg High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American.

He and his wife Bianca have three children.
