Edinburg to Host Passport Day Sept. 23

Edinburg, Texas (Sept. 12, 2017) – The City of Edinburg City Secretary Department will host Passport Day on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall.



The Saturday event is aimed to accommodate those who are unable to apply for a passport during traditional business hours.



The following documents are required for passport processing:




    • Complete filled-out application

    • Valid state ID or drivers license

    • Certified full page birth certificate

    • Passport photos (2)



Adults (Age 16 & up)



Book per person: $110 (expedite express mail: $185.45)



Card per person: $30



Children (Age 15 & under)



Book per child: $80 (expedite express mail: $155.45)



Card per child: $15



Only checks or money orders made payable to the U.S. Dept. of State will be accepted.



The following services are provided by the City of Edinburg:



Processing fee: $25 per person



Photos (set of 2): $15 per person



Mailing fee, expedite only: Express $23.95



Credit/debit cards, checks and money orders made payable to the City of Edinburg will be accepted.



Regular hours of operation for The Edinburg Passport Agency are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call 956-388-1861 or 956-388-8205.
