The goal of the Texas Emergency Rental Assistance Program (TERAP) is to help stabilize low- and moderate-income renters that have been financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The program will provide up to six consecutive months of rental assistance to qualified applicants that reside inside the city limits of Edinburg.

The Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CDBG-CV ERAP) has been developed to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) by providing emergency rental assistance for eligible households and/or individuals who are facing eviction due to a change in financial stability, such as job loss or a reduction in hours, as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.  The program will provide up to six (6) consecutive months of emergency rental assistance for qualified applicants living inside the city limits.
