Risk Management
The City of Edinburg Risk Management Division ensures policies are in place to minimize the frequency and severity of personnel and property losses. The division oversees the City's Workers’ Compensation insurance program and reviews all city property to ensure proper insurance coverage.
Loss Control
Risk Management conducts activities to reduce potential losses. We collaborate with departments and City personnel to minimize risk and reduce operational impact.
Claim Administration
The Division administers all insurance claims, including:
- Property
- General Liability
- Automotive
- Workers’ Compensation (Texas Municipal League)
Safety & Accident Prevention
The Division ensures all departments comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. The Risk Manager acts as the central coordinator for all incidents, receiving initial reports of employee injuries or property damage and facilitating the claims process with workers' compensation insurance providers.
