Welcome to the Edinburg Police Department website. Our department is focused on providing excellent service to those who live, work and play in our three time All-America city. Edinburg is the county seat of Hidalgo County which is a border county along the Rio Grande River across from Mexico. Edinburg is the fastest growing city in the Rio Grande Valley and offers a variety of entertainment from sporting events such as professional basketball and soccer to the highest quality of musical concerts and is home to the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
