La Casa de Benarda Alba Performance

The City of Edinburg’s EMA Community Theater is proud to announce the fore coming production of “La Casa de Bernarda Alba”, a play by the Spanish playwright Federico Garcia Lorca, directed by Dr. Edna Ochoa. Although some changes had to be made for this production.

The Rio Grande Valley is our community and we care for the safety of our people. Due to the current health crisis, The City of Edinburg’s Cultural Arts Division has decided to announce the theater play “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” will be postponed for September 30th, 2020 and October 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 2020. These performances will all be starting at 7:30 pm and will be taking place at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium. Doors from the Auditorium will be open to the public at 7:00 pm.

The EMA Community Theater is a volunteer committee of the Edinburg Cultural Arts Division which brings community favorites such as FridaFest, Lost Muertos Bailan, and the South Texas International Film Festival. All EMA Community Theater productions provide volunteer opportunities and other forms of self-expression, and we cannot wait to present our great talent across our community.
