EDINBURG, TX –The City of Edinburg would like to invite the public to view artist Tania Viveros’ new art exhibit ‘With In TETELESTAI’. The exhibit, located at the Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library, features eighteen new, original works by the artist.
Scheduled to run from August 16th, 2021 to September 30th, 2021, the exhibit also featured an artist reception on September 14th, 2021 where attendees had the opportunity to listen to Ms. Viveros describe her artistic process and reasoning behind the exhibited artwork.
Born on 1988 in Reynosa Tamaulipas and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Tania Viveros is an accomplished local artist who has exhibited works all around the state of Texas. She describes her current work on display as “wrapped around the idea of taking debris and recreating art in an abstract form. I take palm tree leaves, seeds, branches, tree trunks, corn leaves, and many organic materials that focus on texture and form. By connecting each object to other forms, I depict the Passionate Flower. These flowers are created and recreated in various forms of art each piece contrasts some are more obvious than others, but in the end, everything created correlates to the context of passion.”
This event will observe all COVID-19 Safe guidelines to ensure the safety of all in attendance. For more information, contact the City’s Library & Cultural Arts Department at 956-383-6246 or visit the City's Cultural Arts website at www.edinburgarts.com
