The Passport Acceptance Facility is certified by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affair Passport Services.

What to Bring (Checklist)

1. Passport Application: Form DS-11 completely filled out.
2. Identification: Valid State ID/Driver’s License PLUS a copy of the front and back.
3. Proof of Citizenship: Certified Birth Certificate (Long Form) or Naturalization Certificate PLUS a copy.
4. Social Security: Must provide Social Security Number.
5. Photos: Two (2) 2x2 color photographs.

Fees & Payment (Two Separate Payments Required)

A separate check or money order is required for EACH applicant.

Payment 1: City of Edinburg

$35.00 Processing Fee
$15.00 Photo Fee (if applicable)

Payment 2: U.S. Dept of State

The amount depends on the applicant's age and type of passport.

Requirements for Children & Minors

Under Age 16: Both parents AND the applicant must be present. If one parent cannot be present, the DS-3053 form must be signed, notarized, and presented with a copy of the absent parent's ID (front/back).

Ages 16-17: If the applicant does not have their own ID, at least one parent must be present.
