Emergency Rental Assistance Programs Available NOW

The City of Edinburg is currently providing two Emergency Rental Assistance Programs to assist eligible applicants who currently reside inside the city limits.  These programs are available for persons that are renting/leasing their current place of residence.  The programs are described below.

The Community Development Block Grant Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CDBG ERAP) has been developed to provide rental assistance to eligible households and/or individuals who are in danger of eviction. The program will provide up to three (3) consecutive months of emergency rental assistance payments for qualified applicants living inside the city limits.

The Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CDBG-CV ERAP) has been developed to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) by providing emergency rental assistance for eligible households and/or individuals who are facing eviction due to change in financial stability, such as job loss or a reduction in hours, as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.  The program will provide up to six (6) consecutive months of emergency rental assistance payments for qualified applicants living inside the city limits.
