CDBG Emergency Rental Assistance Program
Administered through the Grants Administration Department, the CDBG Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) provides rental assistance to eligible households and/or individuals who are in danger of eviction. This program supports the City’s goal of providing safe, decent and sanitary living conditions for qualified applicants, while simultaneously assisting persons who are at risk of becoming homeless.
The program will provide up to three (3) consecutive months of rental assistance for qualified applicants living inside the city limits and can only be granted one time per household. Qualifying applicants must provide evidence of rental arrears and/or impending eviction caused by a financial hardship. Assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis. The program is available for applicants that are renting/leasing their current place of residence. If approved, the payment will be paid directly to the landlord on behalf of the applicant.
The application for assistance, program guidelines and additional instructions are available below.
