Edinburg City Council Honors Late Fire Chief  Shawn M. Snider by Retiring Call Sign Eagle 1

Edinburg, TX— At its regular meeting on April 16, 2024, the Edinburg City Council unanimously passed a poignant resolution to retire the call sign Eagle 1 in memory of Fire Chief Shawn M. Snider. Chief Snider's journey with the Edinburg Fire Department began in January 1991. His dedication and competence quickly propelled him through the ranks, culminating in his appointment as Fire Chief in 1999.
