Veterans Day Parade 2021
The City of Edinburg is known as the Hometown of Heroes, not only because it is the hometown of two Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, Sgt. Alfredo “Freddy” Gonzalez and Pvt. Pedro Cano, as well as 87 other Fallen Heroes that served from World War I to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, but also for the countless other brave men and women who have served in the various branches of our armed forces. Many serving our country bravely then coming home and continuing to serve the community. Read more about it here.

Dustin Library Presents 'Night at Hogwarts'
The Dustin M. Sekula Library invites the public to Night at Hogwarts on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This fun event will include walk-through stations with a variety of activities such as craft and games. Celebrating Life & Loved Ones: Edinburg's Day of the Dead Festival
The City of Edinburg will host its 7th Annual “Los Muertos Bailan Festival”, a pre-celebration of the Day of the Dead, that will kick off with a traditional procession that will culminate at the community altar, which will be dedicated to the victims of Covid-19. This is a time to remember and celebrate the lives of our dearly departed, Los Muertos Bailan is one of the largest cultural festivals the City of Edinburg hosts. Los Muertos Bailan will take place Saturday, October 23rd  from 6 pm to 11 pm filled with dance presentations and will close with a free concert by Jaime de Anda.
