Gerardo “Gerry” Lozano proudly serves as the Edinburg City Councilmember for Place 4. A lifelong Edinburg resident and proud product of the Edinburg school district, Lozano remains deeply rooted in the community that helped shape his values and work ethic. He is a devoted father to three children—Amaris, Jarred, and Haily—and is happily engaged to his best friend, Zabrina Mettlach.

Lozano’s entrepreneurial spirit was cultivated early on through years of hands-on experience working alongside his father in the family’s produce business, specializing in year-round watermelon growing and shipping. Today, he is the owner of NUTX Construction, a company known for its commitment to quality, reliability, and building a stronger future for the region. Whether in business or public service, Lozano brings dedication, heart, and a passion for progress to everything he does.
