EDINBURG, TX – Do you know a Hometown Hero?

Now is your chance to nominate the men and women who serve and give back to our city ahead of the Hometown of Heroes Half Marathon! We're asking for the community's help in highlighting and recognizing the citizens who make Edinburg so special.

Anyone can be nominated so long as they meet the guidelines below. Whether they're a teacher, a first responder, a military hero, an athlete, or a former city leader, a Hometown Hero puts their neighbors before themselves.

Nominations are being accepted NOW and 13 people will be selected. Each mile of the half-marathon will be dedicated to the 13 Hometown Heroes that are chosen.

The deadline for submissions is February 8, 2023. Nominations must be submitted to commandmedia@cityofedinburg.com.
