Free event will feature backpack and school supply giveaway

Edinburg, TX - The Edinburg Police Department encourages the community to attend its 30th Annual National Night Out celebration, set for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 6 p.m., at the Promenade Park Amphitheater. Edinburg families can expect an evening of food, fun, safety demonstrations, and live entertainment, including performances by Leo Garcia & the Rattlers and The Hot Rodz

The event will feature a carnival, car show, kids’ games, dinosaur rides, petting zoo, and a variety of local food vendors. Residents are encouraged to arrive early — free school backpacks will be available while supplies last.
